We are husband and wife, creative partners, and the people behind Storytelling Films. We create cinematic stories for destination weddings, private celebrations and luxury events across Europe.
We started building Storytelling Films in 2012 brought together by a shared passion for visual storytelling and a belief that wedding films should feel as real and personal as the people in them.

Over the years, Storytelling Films has grown into a destination wedding filmmaking and photography studio, creating stories for couples from around the world — from the UK and the United States to couples across Europe. Based in Slovenia, close to the iconic Lake Bled, we photograph and film weddings throughout Slovenia, Italy and across Europe. Yet the heart of what we do has never changed. We don’t simply want to create beautiful images — we want to understand the people in front of our cameras, connect with them and preserve their story in a way that feels honest, effortless and timeless.

TEAM
An Aquarius to the core, meaning she’s wired to chase anything different. In fact, her entire existence revolves around not being like the others. Seeking out the unconventional, unexpected, the who-would’ve-thought moments. Want proof? Not so long ago, she had to warm her clothes on a radiator before getting dressed. Now she readily plunges into ice-cold water for fun.
Yeah, no one saw that plot twist coming. She’s an artist through and through – loves art, loves music. What kind of music, you ask? Don´t. Just don´t. No one understands her playlist. Honestly, who even understands those artists? And here´s the kicker. This artist, this free spirit, is absolutely obsessed with working out. Seriously! Have you ever met an artist whose favorite idea of fun involves breaking a sweat. Nope? Well, here she is. And just when you think she’s finally run out of crazy ideas, BAM! Another completely over-the -top adventure pops into her head. Yep, poor Dejan!
If Mateja is the hurricane, Dejan is the guy clinging to a streetlamp, just trying to survive. A Virgo with an almost unholy obsession with order. And no, we’re not talking about simply keeping his desk tidy. We’re talking everything-in-its-rightful-place, perfectly-aligned, not-a-thing-out-of-place kind of order. Our filming equipment? Treated like sacred relics. Because behind every lens and every cable lie years of dedication, hard work and an unwavering commitment to perfection.
Dejan is also the kind of guy who gets “tipsy” after just one glass of Prosecco, enjoys long, philosophical walks with our English bulldog, Betty, and – surprise, surprise! – is oddly fascinated by none other than Instagram.
