Annika and Matthew chose Lake Como for an intimate wedding celebration, just the two of them, surrounded by the timeless elegance of Grand Hotel Tremezzo and the dramatic beauty of the Italian Alps.
Without a large celebration or a traditional wedding-day schedule, their day had a completely different rhythm — quiet, personal and wonderfully relaxed. There was time to simply be together, to enjoy the surroundings and to experience Lake Como without rushing from one moment to the next.
And perhaps that is what made their wedding feel so special. Stripped back to what truly mattered, the day became entirely about the two of them — their connection, their emotions and the experience of getting married in one of Italy’s most extraordinary places.
Lake Como has a way of making everything slow down. The light, the mountains, the water and the timeless Italian elegance created the perfect setting for a wedding that was beautifully simple — just two people, completely present in the moment.
One of the most memorable parts of their day was taking to the water aboard a classic wooden boat. With Lake Como stretching out around them and the mountains rising above the shoreline, Annika and Matthew had the lake almost entirely to themselves.
There was nothing to stage and nowhere they needed to be. Just the movement of the boat, the wind, the changing light and a little time together in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Italy.
It was elegant without trying to be, cinematic without being created for the camera — exactly the kind of moment we love to capture.
